Type 1

And now it's time to spin some more yarn regarding my substitute teaching experience at Indian River Middle School today.  I "worked" alongside Mrs. Hayes and Mrs. Hardy today...both fascinating ladies...fascinatingly entertaining!!!  Both were of African lineage and middle aged.

The following is an account of the first dialogue between them that I overheard.  Mrs. Hayes has just payed a visit to the doctor to find out what is wrong with her foot.  She is sharing details about the diagnosis.

A:  "He said eet was Shakamarie Tooth Type 1.  It affects the nerves een ma foot.  It's hereditary."

B:  "Some-fin like gout?"

A:  "Yeaah."

B:  "Dang!"

A:  "The test cost 4000 da-lughs!!!"

B:  "em eM EM!!!"

A:  " Yo nerves turn numb. You could step on a nail an not even know you deed!"

B:  "Damn!"

A:  "Doctuh says i gotta cut out running." (takes another mouthful of peanut butter crackers, purses her big purple lips and bugs her eyes)

-contagious laughter-
